Melody

I am Melody Nowak. I graduated from Career Training Academy in 2000 with an Associates Degree in Massage Therapy. I have been in business for myself for 10 yrs. I absolutely love what I do. There is no better feeling then when someone can lift their arm over their head after the massage. For others pain has lessened or disappeared after the massage. Some want to just relax and that is also accomplished. I've learned numerous styles and techniques, some from other countries. That is why a Massage by Melody is unique, so you need to try the experience.

Sabrina

I graduated from Career Training Academy in December of 2005 with an Associates Degree in specialized technology. I started massage therapy to help my Mother with a condition called fibromyalgia. I specialize in Hot Stone; Swedish; Pregnancy; Infant; Shiatsu; Reflexology; Deep Tissue and Myofascial release among others. I hope this peaks your interest to experience a relaxing and/or helpful massage at Melody's Massage Studio. If you are stressed in mind, body or spirit, I can help. Thank you.

Elena

In 2005 I earned my degree from The Pittsburgh School of Massage. All my life I have been searching for a career that had a real purpose or meant a lot to me. Massage therapy gives me the opportunity to touch people's lives, create a smile, a pain free day, bond and form new friendships. To me, massage is a work of art. Everyone is different and uniquely designed for your special treatment or purpose. I am skilled in Myofascial; Swedish; Trigger Point; Chair massage; Hot Stone; and Sports massage. Working on my own and with local chiropractors and salons is ever broadening my horizons. I look forward to every day at Melody's Massage Studio and ever increasing my education to include many more specialties.

Richard - CMT, CMTPT, MCSTT

When I was about 20, I started getting chronic headaches. I was downing 6 aspirin a day for the pain and the only real result was a lot of nose bleeds. Then one day in a bookstore, I came across a book about myofascial pain. I read it and it changed my life! Here was a person talking about pain being caused by knots in the muscle. No one had ever mentioned that my pain, or anyone else’s, was caused by knots in the muscle. The more I read the more interested I became. This made sense. I realized that if 50% of body weight is made up of muscles that wouldn’t it make sense to consider those as a cause of some pain? I started playing around and was able to help myself. This was great. I didn’t really understand all the science behind the healing that was happening, but I was getting results. My friends and coworkers were all coming up and saying, “Richard, work on me, I’ve got this headache, sore neck, back ache, etc”. I decided it was time to look into this as a profession. That was over 20 years ago. I went to school and learned the science behind this amazing healing modality and continue to be thrilled with the results on friends, family, and now, patients. I ran a successful practice in Denver, Colorado for 3 years. Working mostly with chiropractors at that time, it never stopped to amaze me how this simple, modality was able to bring, healing and hope to so many people of varying ages, backgrounds, and pain. I was offered the opportunity to be apart of a vision to open a school that taught this modality. My wife, daughter and I packed up and headed for the east coast, and new horizons. I’ve been the Director of the Pittsburgh School of Pain Management since 1995. I continue to have a private practice as well as training others in this modality. Watching others learn and heal is about as exciting as doing it myself. The great thing is there is always something new to learn; some new aspect of the body, how it works and how we can help people reclaim their lives and live without pain.

Diana

My name is Diana, I am a mother of 3 and have been married for 18 years to a wonderful man by the name of Thomas. I have been in the medical field for 21 years. I knew that I wanted to get into the medical field after I was hit by a car and was in a coma for 3 weeks. I spent a year and a half in the Home for Crippled Children which is now known as the Childrenâ s Institute. It is because of the treatments that I received there learning how to walk and talk again that made me want to help people. I am a Registered Medical Assistant and Massage Therapist. My likes are horses, racecars and having fun with my family. Two of my boys play football in Plum and I have a 9 year old daughter. My husband used to race cars at Motordome, Jennersontown, Challenger, Lernerville, and Pittsburgh Motor Speedway. The massages that I do are: Swedish, Pregnancy, Sports, Geriatrics, Reflexology, and Deep Tissue.

On February 22nd 2007, I graduated from Career Training Academy with a certificate in massage therapy. There I spent numerous hours learning different modalities to help people and to promote health and relaxation. I believe massage should be the essential part of everyone's life. As a massage therapist I hope to expand my education by learning other techniques.

Jessica

I graduated from Career Training Academy with an Associates Degree in 2009. I have been massaging for about two years. My strengths are Swedish and Deep Tissue. I got into massage therapy because I have always enjoyed giving family and friends massages. I'm told I'm very good, and I'd be happy to demonstrate on you.

Rebecca

I am a gradute of the Pittsburgh School of Massge Therapy as of July 2009. I absolutely love doing massage and especially love working on people with a lot of problems. I decided to become a massage therapist because I know a lot of people with pain and wanted to find a way to be able to help them. I enjoy doing Deep Tissue massages and have an intuitive sense when it comes to finding the trigger points that may be causing the pain.

Terry

I graduated from CTA in 2007. I never understood how great massages were until I went to school. Massages are not only great for relaxation, but for your health as well. I love doing what I do. I take my time working on your problem so you can be comfortable throughout your day or week. If your having stress or pain come and enjoy a great massage that will leave you wanting more.
